i would imagine where lauren was down there first night it's probably 41, 42 and that's not bad. you start drifting out into the western suburbs, manassas, you guys have dropped to 32, culpeper 32. that's definitely the trend here where the colder temperatures are going to be old west and southwest and a little warmer for winchester, martinsburg, for hagerstown. i suspect there's a little thicker cloud deck and there might be just a little more wind, not much more, but just a little bit more wind and i do suspect that the wind overnight tonight is not a problem. we're only anticipating westerly winds at about 5 miles per hour or so and i just checked. the wind here was at 6 miles per hour and the wind chill factor was only down into the middle 30s. so all things considered not too bad. we're just going to have cloudy skies. out in the suburbs temperature will be plus or minus a degree or 2 , right around 30 degrees or so. tomorrow expect a lot of clouds. there's a chance of a flake or a chance of a sprinkle, but not much more than that. if you liked today, you'll like tomorrow. f

here we are with lauren. can you tell us how long have been here so far and what you're working on? >> we started our residency on june 1, so we came into the studio then and spent most of the first couple weeks just digging around in the trash. i am continuing my body of work, kind of making these hand- embroidered objects from our day-to-day life. >> can you describe some of the things you have been making here? this is amazing. >> i think i started a lot of my work about the qualities of light is in the weight. i have been thinking a lot about things floating through the air. it is also very windy down here. there is a piece of sheet music up there that i have embroidered third. there is a pamphlet about hearing dea -- nearing death. this is a dead rabbit. this is what i am working on now. this is a greeting card that i found, making it embroidered. it is for a very special friend. >> while we were looking at this, i glanced down and this is amazing, and it is on top of a book, it is ridiculous and amazing. >> i am interested in the serendipity of these still life compositions. w
